Neuropsychiatric Testing

Objective insight into attention, cognition, and ADHD

At WellMinds MD, we offer two complementary, evidence-based digital assessments — Creyos and QbCheck — to bring clarity, precision, and confidence to your diagnosis and treatment plan.

Why Test?

Beyond questionnaires — measurable, validated answers

Symptoms of attention difficulty, cognitive change, and mood disorders often overlap. Objective testing helps Dr. P uncover what's actually happening so the right treatment plan can be built — not guessed.

Objective Data

Validated, quantitative measures — not just self-report.

FDA-Cleared Tools

QbCheck is FDA-cleared as an aid in ADHD assessment and treatment monitoring.

Personalized Plans

Results inform tailored medication, therapy, and lifestyle recommendations.

Track Progress

Re-test over time to measure response to treatment objectively.

For Parents

Is your child struggling at school or at home?

QbCheck provides objective, FDA-cleared data to aid ADHD assessment for children as young as 6 years old. It adds measurable information beyond questionnaires alone, reviewed by Dr. P in a follow-up session with you and your child. Results can support school accommodation letters and IEP documentation.

Creyos Health — Cognitive & Mental Health Assessment

Creyos (formerly Cambridge Brain Sciences) is a digital cognitive testing platform backed by more than 30 years of scientific validation. It pairs engaging, interactive cognitive tasks with standardized clinical questionnaires to produce an objective profile of your cognitive function and mental health.

What It Measures

  • Attention & concentration — sustained, selective, and divided attention.
  • Memory & learning — short-term, working, and visuospatial memory.
  • Executive function — planning, reasoning, and problem solving.
  • Mood & mental health — depression, anxiety, and stress screeners.

Who It's For

  • Patients with concerns about focus, memory, or "brain fog."
  • Adults seeking a broader picture of cognitive functioning.
  • Older adults wanting dementia or MCI screening.
  • Anyone wanting a baseline cognitive snapshot for comparison over time.
Service Two

QbCheck — FDA-Cleared ADHD Testing

QbCheck (by Qbtech) is an FDA-cleared, web-based test that objectively measures the three core symptoms of ADHD — attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity — while you complete a continuous performance task. Results are compared to a normative database matched for age and sex, providing a precise, data-driven snapshot of attention.

How It Works

  • Continuous performance task. A 15–20 minute objective test administered on a laptop with a built-in webcam.
  • Movement tracking. The webcam captures motion to quantify hyperactivity in real time.
  • Validated rating scale. A brief ADHD rating scale rounds out the clinical picture.
  • Immediate, normative results. Your scores are compared against age- and sex-matched controls.

Who It's For

  • Children, adolescents, and adults ages 6 to 60.
  • Patients seeking diagnostic clarification for ADHD.
  • Patients on stimulants who want to monitor treatment response objectively.
  • Anyone preferring an evidence-based alternative to questionnaires alone.

Common Questions

Neuropsychiatric Testing FAQ

Who can benefit from neuropsychiatric testing?

Anyone with concerns about attention, memory, mood, or cognitive function — including patients exploring an ADHD diagnosis, adults experiencing "brain fog," older adults concerned about memory changes, and patients who want to objectively track their response to treatment.

Do I need to prepare for the test?

Yes — choose a quiet, distraction-free environment, use a reliable computer or tablet with a stable internet connection, and set aside enough uninterrupted time. Turn off notifications and minimize distractions before starting.

Is QbCheck really FDA-cleared?

Yes. QbCheck is FDA-cleared as an aid in the diagnostic assessment of ADHD and for measuring response to treatment. Results are compared to a normative database matched for the patient's age and sex.

Will my insurance cover the testing?

The Creyos and QbCheck tests themselves are typically not covered by insurance — they are billed as out-of-pocket assessments. However, Dr. P’s clinical sessions surrounding the testing (the initial evaluation and the results review/follow-up) may be covered depending on your plan, as those are standard psychiatric visits.

WellMindsMD does not process insurance claims or verify benefits. For eligible clinical visits, Headway handles eligibility estimates, claims processing, and billing. Use Headway’s cost estimator. We can provide superbills for other plans upon request.

How much does Creyos or QbCheck cost?

Each test is $300. That covers the full digital assessment and a personalized results report.

A separate 30-minute results readout visit is $278, the standard 30-minute follow-up rate. During this visit, Dr. P provides personalized interpretation, answers questions, and discusses care recommendations and next steps.

There are no hidden fees. If you have questions before booking, reach out for a free consultation.

How quickly will I get my results?

Both platforms generate reports immediately after completion. Dr. P then reviews your report in detail and discusses the findings with you in a dedicated follow-up appointment.

Can I do testing remotely?

Yes. Both Creyos and QbCheck are web-based and can be completed remotely on a personal device, making them well-suited for telehealth patients throughout our service area.
