Focus & follow-through
Starting tasks but struggling to finish, losing track during conversations, or needing urgency to get moving.
Comprehensive ADHD evaluation for children, adolescents, and adults with Dr. Nabilla Porbandarwalla, a double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist.
ADHD is not simply a lack of focus or willpower. The pattern can look different across ages, settings, and stages of life.
Starting tasks but struggling to finish, losing track during conversations, or needing urgency to get moving.
Missing deadlines, misplacing essentials, underestimating time, or feeling overwhelmed by routine planning.
Feeling internally driven, interrupting, acting before thinking, or finding quiet activities unusually difficult.
Doing very well when interested but struggling with repetitive work, transitions, or tasks requiring sustained effort.
Dr. P integrates your symptoms with developmental, medical, psychiatric, family, school, and work history. The goal is not to force every attention concern into an ADHD label—it is to understand what is driving the difficulty and what will actually help.
QbCheck adds objective information to the clinical picture. Dr. P makes a diagnosis only after considering the test data alongside history, symptoms, functioning across settings, and other possible explanations.
WellMindsMD uses QbCheck for objective ADHD testing. Dr. P recommends it when the results can answer a meaningful clinical question and add useful data to the comprehensive evaluation.
The exact path is personalized, but most evaluations follow four clear steps.
Tell us what has been difficult and what you hope to understand. We will explain the appropriate next step.
Dr. P reviews symptoms, history, functioning, prior records, and input from others when clinically useful.
QbCheck may provide objective data about attention, activity, and impulsivity to support the clinical evaluation.
You receive a clear explanation of the findings and individualized recommendations for treatment or further evaluation.
The psychiatric evaluation and any objective testing are billed separately. Dr. P recommends testing only when it is clinically useful.

No. Objective testing can strengthen an evaluation, but ADHD is a clinical diagnosis. Dr. P considers test results alongside history, symptoms, functioning across settings, and other conditions that may explain the difficulties.
Yes. Dr. P is double board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry. Evaluations are adapted to age, development, family context, school or work demands, and the patient’s goals.
That is still useful information. Dr. P will explain what else may be contributing to the symptoms and recommend appropriate treatment, further assessment, or referrals.
Many clinical visits and QbCheck can be completed remotely where appropriate. Availability depends on the patient’s location, age, clinical needs, technology, and applicable care requirements.
Clinical findings and objective testing may help document functional concerns. Dr. P can discuss appropriate documentation, but each school, testing organization, or employer sets its own requirements and decides whether to grant accommodations.
No. Diagnosis and treatment are separate decisions. Recommendations are individualized and may include medication, psychotherapy, coaching or skills support, changes at school or work, sleep and lifestyle strategies, or additional evaluation.
