Educational Background.

I hold a BA in Microbiology with University Honors and Departmental Honors from UT Austin. I enrolled in the MD/PhD program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where I received my MD in 2009. My training includes a General Psychiatry Residency and a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at UT Health San Antonio. I am board-certified in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. My experience spans working with diverse age groups in various settings, including clinics and emergency services

Purpose.

My passion for understanding the human mind, particularly the interplay between genetics and experiences, drives my commitment to providing exceptional care. I pride myself on guiding patients from childhood through adulthood, fostering trust and comfort with both patients and their families. Through open communication, innovative problem-solving, and comprehensive patient education, I cultivate meaningful therapeutic relationships

I am fortunate to do what I do, and the humanity and compassion within psychiatry inspire me to grow as a physician and person.

My Approach.

In my practice, I adopt a collaborative and personalized approach to meet each patient's unique needs. By integrating evidence-based treatments with psychotherapy, I provide a comprehensive framework for healing. My goal is to empower patients with the tools and resilience to thrive. Recognizing the vital role of families in fostering growth, I work as a team with them to offer effective therapies and medication management, facilitating my patients' path to wellness.
